The phone number will only be disclosed when you as a guest are requesting a booking or making a direct booking towards the specific host. If you as a guest haven’t already included your phone number during the signup, we will require it once you are requesting a booking or making a direct booking (GDPR Article 6 (1) b) and f)). 

The information we collect is directly from you via the Website and Services. You can choose not to provide us with your Personal Information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of some of the features on the Website. Any information we collect from you may be used for the following purposes and processing activities: 

  • Send marketing and promotional communications: If you have signed up for marketing or our newsletter, we may process your name, contact information, etc. to submit such materials to you. Such processing is based on your consent (GDPR Article 6 (1) (a)). 

  • Perform a contract with you: AgriStay will use your personal data, including booking information, to perform its contract with you and provide you with the requested services. 

  • Run and operate the Website and Services, and improve products and services: AgriStay may process personal data of visitors to its website and users of its services to run, operate and improve the website and services. The legal basis for such processing is AgriStay’s legitimate interest in continuously maintaining the website and collecting statistics to enhance the user experience with the platform (GDPR Article 6 (1) (f)).

Retention of information

We will retain and use your personal data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. Once the retention period expires, your Personal Information will be deleted. However, we may store your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill statutory requirements and legal obligations, including requirements for continued storage in accordance with accounting legislation, and to the extent necessary to safeguard AgriStay's rights. 

User Rights

The users have certain rights which include: (i) the right to withdraw their consent if they have given consent to the processing of their information, (ii) the right to object to the processing of their information if processing is conducted based on a legal basis other than consent, (iii) the right to be informed if their information is being processed by the company, to obtain disclosure regarding certain aspects of the processing and a copy of the information being processed, (iv) the right to verify the accuracy of their information and request for it to be updated or corrected, (v) the right to restrict the processing of their information under certain circumstances, in which case, the company will not process their information for any purpose other than storing it, (vi) the right to obtain the erasure of their personal information under certain circumstances from the company, (vii) the right to receive their information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and if technically feasible, to have it transmitted to another controller without any hindrance. 

The users also have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority about the collection and use of their personal information. The company cannot respond to any requests or provide Personal Information unless the identity or authority of the requester is verified and the Personal Information relates to them.
