Welcome to an authentic farm stay!

Our farm is located 450 meters above sea level in the lush surroundings of Vestre Gausdal, only 25 km northwest of Lillehammer. You have a short distance to popular attractions such as Maihaugen, Hunderfossen, Lilleputthammer, and Jorekstad swimming complex. Additionally, it's only a 30-minute drive to the Skeikampen Alpine Resort.

When you wake up on the farm, you'll be greeted by a fantastic view stretching across the beautiful Vestre Gausdal. What makes this resort unique is the combination of breathtaking views, nature, tranquility, and a vibrant and energetic wildlife. The small farm is active all year round with various tasks and activities related to the seasons. Here, you'll encounter dedicated hosts who take good care of the guests, along with many friendly animals.

For those interested in animals, you can participate in farm activities such as barn chores. We engage in milk production from cows in an older barn on the property, and you can participate in morning and afternoon feeding and caring for cows and calves. Additionally, we have a small flock of hens in a chicken coop in the garden, and during the summer, we sometimes have sheep on the other side of the fence. This is a great opportunity to get up close with the farm animals and experience rural life firsthand!

During the summer, you can explore beautiful hiking and biking trails and enjoy the stunning nature surrounding us. In winter, the landscape transforms into a snowy paradise with sledding hills and ski trails awaiting you. We offer free rental of snowshoes, sleds, and kicksleds. There are excellent sledding hills and hiking opportunities both on the farm and in the nearby area. We can also organize activities such as dog sledding, dog carting, sleigh rides, and horseback riding, but these need to be booked in advance. These activities take place off the farm.

We aim to provide you with the best farm experience, and food is an important part of it. Therefore, our guests have the opportunity to order food directly from the farm, delivered to the cabin! For a small additional cost, you can choose from our menu and have homemade bread, tempting berry preserves, fresh milk, and flavorful eggs delivered to your door.

In the middle of the garden on this lively smallholding stands a unique little log house. The house has a nostalgic interior and many historical details that contribute to making your stay truly memorable. The house is equipped with a kitchen suitable for cooking and a comfortable bed.

Ingeborgstua consists of 2 rooms:
Living room: kitchen with dining bench, table, chairs, wood-burning stove, and kitchen counter. There is also a refrigerator and a stove available.

A small bedroom: 1 double bed (1.4m wide and 2m long) and 1 single bed. We can also provide an extra mattress or crib for a small additional cost.

There is a spacious, clean, and nice bathroom just outside the cabin door, which is shared only with one neighboring cabin that accommodates up to 5 people. The bathroom is well-equipped with clean towels, soaps, a hairdryer, and various consumables available at all times. The host ensures daily cleaning of the bathroom.

Inside, nobody will get bored. We have books, magazines, coloring materials, games for both children and adults, as well as a DAB radio and mobile broadband. We recommend downloading heavy files, such as movies, in advance if you wish to use the mobile broadband. It has a limited data package and should only be used for regular internet surfing.

Outside, you'll find a terrace, a fire pit, a hammock, and proximity to the vegetable garden, greenhouse, and the farm's animals. This is truly a rural gem.

Winters here are typically cold with abundant snow, and we offer free rental of kicksleds, snowshoes, sleds, and a limited selection of skiing equipment. There are groomed ski trails and a long sledding hill nearby.

Guest Access:
Planning a farm holiday in Gausdal without a car can be a bit challenging, so we recommend either renting or borrowing a car if you want to visit us. If a car is not an option, the only solution is to take the train to Lillehammer and then either take a taxi from there (which will cost around 1200-1500 NOK) or travel by public transport to Segalstad Bru, a journey of about 30 minutes. From Segalstad Bru, it's still 8 km to Paulsrud farm, but we can potentially pick you up for a small additional cost.

Within a 10-minute drive from our farm, you'll find a selection of shops, including a pharmacy, four grocery stores, Europris (discount store), a sports shop, two gas stations, a hair salon, a garden center, a liquor store, a clothing store, an optician, and a café. The nearest grocery store (Coop Prix Forset) is only 3-4 minutes away by car.

There is ample parking space available for your car, and Ingeborgstua has its own private parking spot just 15 meters from the cabin wall, surrounded by a horseshoe-shaped row of raspberry bushes.

Other things worth noting:
The house does not have running water, but we have a practical water container with a tap that makes cooking and kitchen work easy. The water is 100% clean and drinkable.

Next to the bathroom, there is a spacious laundry room. Here, you can wash dishes and wash and dry clothes as needed. The bathroom and laundry room are shared only with the neighboring cabin, which accommodates up to 5 beds. Queues and waiting times are rare or nonexistent, as everyone respects the fact that it's not for individual use. After use, it's expected to leave the room in a tidy and nice condition.

Bed linen, towels, electricity, firewood, and cleaning are included in the price.

Near the house, during summer and autumn, there are many fresh vegetables that you can supplement your meals with from the vegetable garden. You can freely pick various herbs and salads. In autumn, by arrangement with the hosts, you can also take some carrots and potatoes with you. Larger quantities can be purchased and taken home upon departure.
