Beyond being a guesthouse, Stokke Nedre proudly embraces organic farming and forestry. In the summer months, our open farm café offers light refreshments, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Exploring the property offers a chance to engage with our friendly animals, including goat kids, lambs, and hens. Additionally, a dedicated dog park caters to our guests' furry friends, offering opportunities for play, running, and agility training.
Conveniently positioned by Lake Mjøsa, we are centrally situated among Gjøvik, Hamar, and Lillehammer. With an 800-meter shoreline, we invite you to unwind through swimming and leisurely strolls amidst historic charm. Follow the cultural trail to delve into the rich history of our farm. For fishing enthusiasts, abundant spots await just beyond our property. Furthermore, docking your boat at the pier is a possibility, and we offer rentals of basic fishing gear, small motorboats, kayaks, and canoes, and of course life jackets.
Exploring the surroundings brings you to Gjøvik Golf Course, and for a unique experience, consider day cruises with Skibladner – the world's oldest operational paddle steamer. Wintertime offers ski enthusiasts an array of nearby winter sports options. Gjøvik, Ringsaker, and Lillehammer present both downhill slopes and well-maintained cross-country ski trails. Closest among them, Hovdebakken downhill slope, is conveniently located just a short drive from the farm
Accommodation in the Main House
Our grand main building, established in 1810, features five guest rooms accommodating nine beds in total. These rooms share access to three modern bathrooms. The house encompasses a spacious dining hall, inviting parlors, a well-appointed dining room, and a generous kitchen used by your hosts to cater to guests. The ambiance radiates coziness, upholding the house's history through original colors and traditional interiors.
Overnight guests have the option to savor a breakfast basket or indulge in the Hostess's Breakfast, showcasing delightful local cuisine.

Stokke Nedre also hosts various events, including confirmations, anniversaries, and corporate gatherings. Equipped with modern audiovisual gear, our facilities cater to meetings, courses, and conferences. The main house comfortably accommodates groups of up to 60 individuals for conferences, while the grand dining hall offers an intimate ambiance for dinners accommodating up to 40 guests. Our boathouse also offers a rustic experience, featuring long tables and a fireside setting by the water's edge, perfect for up to 24 guests.
